SEPT. 16

Suspicious activity. A man selling steaks door-to-door reported seeing what he thought were marijuana plants and moonshine on the porch of a residence in the 2000 block of Oakgreen Avenue. Police contacted the owner of the home, who stated it hadn't been lived in for five years. Police did find several marijuana plants on the back porch, which they collected.

SEPT. 17

Loose pig. Police looked for a pig that had been reported in the middle of the road on 50th Street between Neal Avenue and Trading Post Trail. They were unable to find it but learn that it was eventually reunited with its owner.

SEPT. 21

Extra patrol request. Police received a call about an ongoing problem with vehicles traveling 60 mph on Falcon Avenue near Hwy. 61. The complainant said the speed needed to be posted or the area should be monitored by police.

LAKE ELMO

SEPT. 17

Missing motorcycle. A woman who left her motorcycle, which would not start, overnight at the Twin Point Tavern, 11199 Stillwater Blvd., reported it stolen the next day.

Criminal damage. Police received a report of a rock thrown through a window in the 100 block of Dahlia Street.

OAKDALE

SEPT. 16

Animal complaint. Police responded to a report of a loose black lab with no collar or tags preventing a man from getting out of his vehicle in the 6400 block of Upper 46th Street. Police found the dog to be friendly: It jumped right into their squad car for transport to the Woodbury Animal Shelter.

Suspicious vehicle. A security officer reported a woman was sleeping in a camper in a parking lot in the 7800 block of 3rd Street at 4 a.m. The woman told police she worked at one of the businesses in the complex starting at 9 a.m. and had arrived early from out of town.

Motor vehicle accident. A juvenile driver accidentally struck the Super America building at 1015 Geneva Av. while learning to drive with his mother, according to police reports.

SEPT. 22

Suspicious situation. Discarded mail from a variety of addresses was found in the 5000 block of Warner Road, according to police reports. Police had received a report of a pickup truck and another vehicle being sighted in the area where the mail was found.

Fleeing pig. Someone reported a very large pig loose in the street in the 15000 block of Pilar Road. Police were able to find the animal and helped corral it back into its pen.

Vandalism report. A pot of flowers was thrown and smashed in the street in the 300 block of Charing Lane.

WOODBURY

SEPT. 21

Road rage. A woman reported being spat on by a driver she had just honked at to avoid a collision in the 500 block of Bielenberg Drive. The other driver was contacted and admitted to the confrontation and provided a similar, yet alternate, series of events. Police determined there were enough similarities and discrepancies in both stories that no charges should be issued. The drivers were advised to make better choices about handling themselves when operating a motor vehicle.

SEPT. 24

Forced entry burglary. Seven baseball hats reportedly were taken from a home in the 3000 block of Leyland View, according to police reports.
