MICHIGAN TECH 3, DENVER 2: The Huskies' 26-game winless streak is no more, and it ended in a most surprising location as well.Patrick McCadden and Ryan Furne scored shorthanded goals and Kevin Genoe made 23 saves as the Huskies won for the first time in more than four months, stunning the No. 4 Pioneers in Denver on Friday.

Michigan Tech started the season 3-0-1 after beating Minnesota State Mankato on Oct. 15, but the Huskies hadn't won since, going 0-23-3 over that stretch, including 15 losses in a row. Denver also had won its previous eight games against Michigan Tech and had been 12-0-1 in its past 13 against the Huskies at Magness Arena.

"Our guys did a terrific job with the little things, blocking shots and winning face-offs," Michigan Tech coach Jamie Russell said. "We did a good job staying in our systems. Our young kids showed terrific composure to upset the No. 4 team in the nation."

McCadden gave Tech a 1-0 lead with an unassisted shorthanded goal in the first period. Denver tied the score on Matt Donovan's goal later in the period.

Bryce Reddick scored in the second period to break the 1-1 tie for the Huskies, and Furne made it 3-1 with the Huskies' second shorthanded goal of the game.

MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 3, MINNESOTA DULUTH 1: Eriah Hayes and Channing Boe each had a goal and an assist, and Austin Lee made 28 of his 40 saves in the third period as the host Mavericks beat the No. 5 Bulldogs, dropping UMD to 1-2-2 in its past five games. All the scoring came in the first period. Hayes and Boe scored power-play goals in the first nine minutes, and after Mike Connolly drew the Bulldogs within a goal, but Corey Leivermann answered for Minnesota State at 17:33.• NORTH DAKOTA 3, ST. CLOUD STATE 3: Matt Frattin's second goal of the game with 3 minutes, 31 seconds to play in regulation helped the No. 2 Sioux salvage a draw with the host Huskies. WCHA-leading North Dakota blew a 2-0 lead before Frattin's dramatic breakaway goal. He also scored early in the second period to give North Dakota a 2-1 lead.

COLORADO COLLEGE 5, BEMIDJI STATE 5: Jordan George scored with less than three minutes to play as the host Beavers came back to tie the Tigers. Bemidji State trailed 4-2 late in the second period.

ALASKA ANCHORAGE 3, NEBRASKA-OMAHA 2: Daniel Naslund scored the tiebreaking goal at 10:06 of the third period as the host Seawolves beat the Mavericks.
