June 2, 2011 at 7:58PM

Most of the country will be dry this weekend, but there will be some troublespots. A cold front pushing through the Great Lakes will spark some showers andthunderstorms in the region. Oppressive heat and humidity will continue acrossthe Southeast.Farther west, generally dry weather will preside over the Rockies into theNorthwest. While the Northwest has warmer weather, the Rockies and Southwestwill remain quite cool for this time of the year. A storm system just off theCalifornia coast will dampen parts of the state, especially coastallocales.
