This weekend will bring a couple of weather problems. First, it will beraining on and off from the southern Plains to the mid-Atlantic region. Some ofthat rain will be heavy causing flash flooding. It will also be stormy on theWest Coast with a pretty good soaking expected from central Californianorthward.The Pacific rain bands will break up as they cross the Cascade andSierra-Nevada mountain ranges, but scattered showers will make it all the wayto the Colorado Rockies later Saturday and Sunday.
The Southeast will remain warm and humid with most of the wet weatherslipping by to the north.

Beryl strengthens into hurricane in Atlantic, forecast to grow into major storm entering Caribbean
Beryl grew into a hurricane Saturday as it churned toward the southeastern Caribbean, with forecasters warning it was expected to strengthen into a dangerous major storm before reaching Barbados late Sunday or early Monday.
