CHASKA

WEEK OF JAN. 23

Fire. A home on Ehlers Avenue was fully engulfed in flames when emergency personnel arrived. A space heater in the home was the likely cause of the fire. There were no injuries.

Burglary. Numerous change machines were pried open at Peterson Car Wash, 550 Hwy. 12 E., and money was stolen from the machines.

Disturbance. An intoxicated man was taken to a detox facility after refusing to leave his ex-girlfriend's house on Crosstown Boulevard. His blood-alcohol content was .207 percent, police said. The man was upset because his ex-girlfriend had refused to talk about their relationship, police said.

CORCORAN

JAN. 22

Assault. A 25-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for 5th-degree assault and disorderly conduct on the 97900 block of County Road 101.

EDINA

JAN. 23

Theft. A man reported that a 2008 Infiniti QX5 had been stolen out of his garage on the 5200 block of Ridge Road. Three days later the man's wife called police to report that she had located the vehicle in another city where she had left it. She said she had forgotten she left the vehicle there.

JAN. 24

Theft. A model plane jet engine valued at $9,058 was stolen from a home on the 4800 block of Bywood West.

JAN. 26

Curfew. A 16-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys were arrested for curfew violations on the 6800 block of York Avenue S. after an officer observed them skateboarding in the middle of the street.

JAN. 28

Alarm. Officers responded to an alarm at the Edina Community Center, 5701 Normandale Blvd. It was discovered that kids had tried to open the doors to see whether the Community Center was open.

EXCELSIOR

JAN. 25

Theft. A woman reported that someone had stolen $25 from a dresser at her home on the 500 block of Division Street.

HOPKINS

JAN. 18

Disturbance. A resident of a home on the 100 block of 7th Avenue S. reported that a man had knocked on her door and told her that she smelled. Officers were unable to find the man.

JAN. 22

Suspicious activity. A man reported to officers that he believes someone has a key to his apartment on the 900 block of Westbrooke Way. The reasons he suspected an intruder: An ashtray had been moved and three lighters had been left on a door sill.

MAPLE GROVE

JAN. 20

Theft. Copper plumbing parts valued at $1,600 were stolen from the Lowe's at 11201 Fountains Drive N. A suspect was tentatively identified by the store's video surveillance.

PLYMOUTH

JAN. 19

Theft. Someone stole Copic markers valued at $1,087 from Anchor Paper, 12800 Hwy. 55.

RICHFIELD

JAN. 30

Theft. A 1991 Acura Integra was stolen from an apartment building parking lot on the 7000 block of Cedar Avenue S.

FEB. 4

Drunken driving. A 58-year-old Richfield woman was arrested for drunken driving at 62nd Street and Newton Avenue after the vehicle she was driving struck a fire hydrant, police said.

Shorewood

JAN. 25

Theft. Jewelry worth $11,000 was reported missing from the closet of a home on the 22000 block of Stratford Place.

JAN. 30

Drugs. A 17-year-old Eden Prairie boy was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at Mill Street and Christmas Lane.
