WEEK OF MAY 25TH

Disorderly conduct. Police arrested a man for disorderly conduct at Oak Ridge Conference Center, 1 Oak Ridge Drive, after the man allegedly emptied an entire fire extinguisher into an acquaintance's hotel room as a prank.

Drunken driving. According to police reports, a man was arrested for drunken driving and taken to jail. His wife was informed that her husband could later be released to a sober party. She told the dispatcher she was too drunk to drive. A few hours later, the woman called again and said she needed directions to the jail. An officer observed her driving in the wrong lane of traffic on 4th St. Her blood-alcohol content was at 0.30, police said. She was arrested and taken to jail and later to a detox facility.

EDINA

MAY 17

Drugs. An officer stopped to help a stranded motorist on Hwy. 62 at Hwy. 100. The motorist, a 30-year-old Minneapolis man, told the officer he had run out of gas. After checking his identity, the officer arrested the man for driving after his license had been suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

WEEK OF MAY 17TH

Thefts. Police responded to two theft calls at Panera Bread, 3345 Hazelton Road. In both incidents, women told police that their wallets were stolen from a purse hanging on the back of a chair.

MAY 22

Drunken driving. Police arrested a 58-year-old Edina man for drunken driving at W. 51st Street and France Avenue S. He had driven to the police station to file a report, police said.

INDEPENDENCE

MAY 18

Animal complaint. Someone called police to report a loose horse with a saddle on it on Luce Line and Game Farm roads. Officers located the rider a half mile down Game Farm Road. She had been thrown off the horse. There were no injuries.

MINNEAPOLIS

MAY 28

Robbery. Police responded to a report that there was an injured man on the 1700 block of Penn Avenue N. Officers found a 51-year-old man who had been assaulted. The man told police he had been riding his bicycle and passed three boys age 10-13; he said he didn't remember what happened after that. The victim said his bike, wallet and cell phone were missing. He was transported to the hospital.

MAY 30

Robbery. Two men went to the police station to report a robbery that occurred in the garage of a home on the 1100 block of 7th Street N. According to police reports, the two victims of the robbery were in the garage playing dice for money with six other people. One of the men was losing money and pulled a handgun out. No one was injured, but the suspects fled with cash, jewelry, cell phones and a wallet.

MINNETRISTA

MAY 16

Drunken driving. Police arrested a 43-year-old Minnetrista woman at 7701 County Road 110W for drunken driving. She had driven to the police station about another matter.
