FEB. 11

Drunken driving. An intoxicated man stumbled through a convenience store and knocked over a Hostess snack display, smashing some of the cupcakes. He stumbled to the beer cooler and grabbed a 12-pack of beer. On his way to the cashier, he dropped the 12-pack on the floor, causing cans to fall out. The man picked up the cans and attempted to purchase the beer. Employees wouldn't sell the beer to him because of his obvious state of intoxication. The man then bragged about being from Texas, exited the store and sped away in his vehicle. Police stopped him within a mile of the convenience store. He apologized to the officer, stated that he'd had too much to drink, and said he would not drive home. He was arrested for drunken driving.

JAN. 22

Harassment. A woman in the 4000 block of Inglewood Drive reported that someone signed her up for magazine subscriptions that she did not want.

JAN. 28

Theft. A 31-year-old Shakopee man and a 38-year-old Inver Grove Heights man were arrested after allegedly shoplifting three knife sets valued at $1,500 from Macy's.

Burglary. The Edina Crime Prevention Fund is offering a reward of to $3,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an Edina burglary. The total loss in this daytime burglary was more than $350,000, including about $150,000 of antique jewelry from India. There is no information available on a suspect, but a suspicious vehicle was seen in the area at the time of the incident; it was described as a gold or metallic-color minivan. Theft. A dishwasher was stolen from a house under construction in the 6200 block of Urbandale Lane.

FEB. 6

Auto theft. A vehicle was stolen from the 7200 block of Vinewood Lane. The car had been left running on the street with the keys inside.

FEB. 10

Robbery. Around 9:30 p.m., a man and a woman were walking in the 1400 block of Jefferson Avenue NE. when they were approached by two men dressed in black, whose ages appeared to be 17 to 20. They forced the couple into an apartment building hallway and went through the couple's pockets while pointing an "old and rusty gun" at them, according to a complaint filed with police. Then the men asked the couple to remove their clothes. The man removed his clothes and the woman removed her pants. The robbers fled on foot but left the clothes at the scene. Lt. Greg Reinhardt suspects the robbers forced the couple to remove their clothes so they'd be less likely to chase them.

FEB. 11

Burglary. A homeowner in the 15800 block of 6th Avenue N. heard noises in his attached garage. He remembered that he had left the overhead garage door open, so he went out to check on the noise and found a man tampering with his vehicle. The man ran from the garage through the back yard. The vehicle's driver's-side window had been smashed.

FEB. 10

Burglary. Police responded to a burglary report in the 800 block of N. Terraceview Lane. The back door had been kicked in and jewelry, games and TVs were missing.

FEB. 15

Burglaries. Houses in the 6300 block and the 6500 block of 1st Avenue S. were burglarized.

FEB. 7

Burglary. A neighbor noticed two men carrying TVs from an apartment in the 3700 block of Hubbard Avenue N. They were placing them in a van. When confronted, the men said they were helping to move their cousin out of the apartment. The apartment manager called the tenant, who said that nobody should be in her apartment. By the time police arrived, the men were gone. The tenant was missing TVs and Playstation games. Police took descriptions of the suspects.

FEB. 8

Burglary. Someone broke a window to gain entry into a house in the 3800 block of Oakdale Avenue N. Police suspect a juvenile who had been living at the house but had run away, because clothes belonging to the juvenile were the only items missing.

FEB. 8

Burglary. A business in the 6900 block of Wayzata Boulevard was burglarized. There was forced entry, and money, tools and a shotgun were stolen.
