The Star Tribune is convening an arts forum April 26 at Cowles Center in Minneapolis to ponder that question. Join the Guthrie Theater's new artistic director Joseph Haj, Walker Art Center director Olga Viso, Minneapolis Institute of Art director Kaywin Feldman, Penumbra Theatre co-artistic director Sarah Bellamy and St. Paul Chamber Orchestra artistic director Kyu-Young Kim for a lively discussion about the changing artistic landscape.
What successes and what failures have they encountered in reaching out to new audiences? How can institutions innovate in art forms that tilt toward the classics?
Star Tribune theater critic/arts reporter Graydon Royce will moderate the discussion with arts leaders as they navigate their futures.
