Two wins from a National Women's Hockey League championship, the Minnesota Whitecaps have a chance to play both playoff games on home ice this weekend.

The NWHL announced the makeup date for the semifinal between the Whitecaps and Metropolitan Riveters, which was postponed Sunday because of weather-related travel issues for the Riveters.

That semifinal will be played at 7 p.m. Friday at TRIA Rink in St. Paul. The winner will move on to face the Buffalo Beauts in the Isobel Cup Final, at 1 p.m. Sunday, also at TRIA.

The Whitecaps sold out all eight regular-season games at TRIA this year, and 1,200 tickets for the NWHL semifinal sold out in 25 hours last week.
