Wild-Dallas game preview

Preview: After a five-win December, the Wild is 7-2 this month; the Stars fell to 1-8 in January with Monday night's 4-1 loss in Nashville. The Wild beat Dallas 3-2 in overtime on Saturday. Minnesota ended a 16-game winless streak (0-11-5) in Dallas with a 7-4 victory on March 25, 2013.

Players to watch: Wild defenseman Ryan Suter, who turns 29 on Tuesday, has 16 points in his past 19 games. Forward Dany Heatley, who turns 33 Tuesday, has five points in the past five games. Right winger Jason Pominville is one goal from becoming the Wild's first 20-goal scorer this season. Stars F Tyler Seguin has zero goals in his past nine eight games and only three since Dec. 16.

Numbers: The Wild has won three in a row on the road, allowing two goals in that stretch. … The Wild is 4-14-6 all-time in Dallas.

Injuries: Wild G Niklas Backstrom (lower body), D Jared Spurgeon (foot), C Mikko Koivu (ankle), LW Zach Parise (foot) and G Josh Harding (illness) are out. Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas (broken leg) is out.
