Wild update: LW Kirill Kaprizov is tied with Marian Gaborik for the most points (83) in a Wild season. Kaprizov had a league-high 14 goals in March, which established a franchise record for a single month. His five-game goal streak is tied for the longest of his career, and he's one game away from matching the Wild record. D Jon Merrill and RW Matt Boldy suffered upper-body injuries in the 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins on Thursday that halted the Wild's seven-game win streak; Merrill won't accompany the team on this four-game road trip, coach Dean Evason said, while the plan was for Boldy to travel. Earlier this season, the Wild defeated the Hurricanes 3-2 on Feb. 12 at Xcel Energy Center.

Hurricanes update: Carolina has won three of its past four games and is 4-1-3 over its last eight. On Thursday, the Hurricanes blanked the Canadiens 4-0 while registering a season-high 26 shots in the second period. C Sebastian Aho has four goals and three assists during a six-game point streak. G Frederik Andersen is 3-0-1 over his past four starts. At home, the Hurricanes are 25-5-4.
