Wild-New Jersey game preview

Preview: The Wild has lost three consecutive games— including two on the road — but has had recent success against the Devils. It is 3-0-1 in its past four games against New Jersey, outscoring the Devils 13-7 in that stretch.

Players to watch: Though Wild LW Thomas Vanek still has only one goal this season, he got his eighth assist of the season in Saturday's loss at Montreal and has five points in his past six games. Devils C Mike Cammalleri returned to the lineup Monday against Boston; he leads the team with five goals and had missed six games because of a jaw injury.

Numbers: Wild C Mikko Koivu has 28 shots in the past five games, dating to Oct. 30. That is the most of any NHL player since that date. … The Devils are 2-2-2 on home ice this season. … The Wild continues to lead the league in fewest shots allowed per game (23.0) and ranks second in shots per game (34.6).
Injuries: Wild LW Matt Cooke (lower body), LW Zach Parise (concussion) and D Jared Spurgeon (shoulder) are out. Devils LW Martin Havlat (facial lacerations) and D Jon Merrill (arm) are out; C Adam Henrique (undisclosed) and LW Ryane Clowe (undisclosed) are day-to-day.
