Wild update: The Wild is vying for a third consecutive victory, which would be the team's longest win streak since a six-game tear going into the All-Star break. Against the Golden Knights, the Wild is 0-2 this season with both losses (3-2 and 6-4) coming in Las Vegas. G Cam Talbot was in net for those games but is currently on a 5-0 run. LW Kirill Kaprizov has two goals and an assist over this past two games. LW Jordan Greenway is on a career-long three-game goal streak.

Golden Knights update: After getting swept on a five-game trip, the Golden Knights went home and won two in a row. They return to the road in the second and final wild card spot in the Western Conference, two points shy of the Oilers for third place in the Pacific Division. Vegas has been dealing with a handful of key injuries, including G Robin Lehner (lower body) and RW Mark Stone (back). RW Jonathan Marchessault leads the team in goals (25) and points (48). Since joining Vegas in a trade from Buffalo, C Jack Eichel has five goals and six assists through 16 games.
