Wild week in review
• After having its five-game winning streak end with a 2-0 loss at Phoenix on Monday, the Wild got consecutive wins at Colorado and Calgary. Antti Miettinen scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over the Avalanche, then Martin Havlat scored his fifth career overtime winner after helping set up James Sheppard's tying goal for a 2-1 win vs. Flames. The road trip ended with a 4-3 loss at Vancouver.
STAR TRIBUNE'S STAR OF THE WEEK
Niklas Backstrom, goaltender: "Bax" is getting into a groove. After stopping 29 shots at Phoenix, Backstrom stopped all 22 he faced in Denver for his 18th career shutout. Then in Calgary, Backstrom made a number of clutch saves, especially in overtime, during a 22-save effort.
THIS WEEK THREE GAMES
• After a five-game road trip that ended in western Canada, the Wild returns home for one before heading to eastern Canada. Guillaume Latendresse and Benoit Pouliot are expected to play against their old teams for the first time in Montreal.
