Russell has missed the past four games and is listed as probable on the injury report. … The Wolves defeated the Pistons 128-117 on Wednesday behind 21 points and 14 rebounds from Karl-Anthony Towns and 23 points off the bench from Taurean Prince. The team has won three straight games and five of the past seven. Over their past 15 games the Wolves have the No. 1 offensive rating in the league, at 119.2 points per 100 possessions. Over that timeframe the Wolves have the eighth-best three-point percentage at .363. … Prince is shooting 61% from three-point range over his last 10 games.
Detroit update: In Wednesday's matchup Saadiq Bey scored 21 points while Jerami Grant had 20 for the Pistons. Frank Jackson had 25 off the bench. … Top draft pick Cade Cunningham (hip pointer) missed Thursday and Friday's games for the Pistons and is considered day to day; he was upgraded to questionable on the injury report Saturday. Detroit lost 102-93 to Boston on Friday and has dropped seven of eight. The Pistons have the 29th-rated offense (102.9) and 24th defense (112.2). They have the league's sixth-worst turnover rate; the Wolves force the most turnovers per game (16.8).
