Wolves-Chicago game preview
Road runs east this time
Wolves update: The Wolves pulled off their first road victory against a Western Conference opponent this season with their 114-112 win Sunday over the Thunder in Oklahoma City. They'll play four of their next five games on the road, but only one will come against a Western Conference team (Dec. 31 at New Orleans). … The Wolves defeated the Bulls 111-96 at Target Center on Nov. 24. … The Wolves will be without Jeff Teague, who is recovering from an injured left ankle. Derrick Rose is improving after missing Sunday's game because of his own injured left ankle. … Andrew Wiggins scored a season-high 30 points in the win over the Thunder. Karl-Anthony Towns just took nine shots against the Thunder.
Bulls update: The Bulls have had a turbulent season after firing coach Fred Hoiberg and replacing him with assistant Jim Boylen, who ruffled feathers on the team with his demanding practice regimen. But the Bulls have won three of their past five games. They are down a few contributors, including former Wolves guard Zach Lavine, who is out because of a left ankle sprain. Bobby Portis is also out because of a sprained right ankle. … Former Wolves guard Kris Dunn recently returned from a left knee injury that kept him out most of the season. He has played in the past seven games and is averaging 14.0 points per game and 5.6 assists.
