Okogie closer to return from hamstring injury

Wolves update: The Wolves got some positive news on the injury front as Josh Okogie is closer to his return from a three-game absence because of a strained hamstring. Okogie is listed as questionable. Injury reports in previous games had Okogie listed as doubtful or out. Jaylen Nowell, who has missed the first six games because of a calf strain, is listed as questionable. Karl-Anthony Towns (dislocated left wrist) remains out. … The Wolves and Nuggets will play for the second time in three days with the Wolves trying to end a four-game losing streak. They played their best game in that stretch Sunday and held the lead going into the fourth quarter, but a 17-0 Denver run in the opening minutes of the fourth put the game out of reach. D'Angelo Russell got going in the second half and had 18 points and seven assists for the game.

Nuggets update: Jamal Murray controlled the action for Denver in the first half of Sunday's game in scoring 26 of 36 points in the first 24 minutes. Nikola Jokic got going in the second half and keyed the Nuggets' fourth-quarter burst with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. Denver entered Monday with the fourth-best offensive rating in the NBA at 115.4 points per 100 possessions. They have the second-worst defensive efficiency at 115.8 points allowed. The only team worse is the Wolves. … Rookie Facundo Campazzo had 15 points off the bench Sunday, more than he scored in his previous five games combined.
