Wolves update: They snapped their five-game losing streak with a win over Portland on Sunday. D'Angelo Russell returned to the lineup after a three-game absence and had 18 points and five assists. ... The Wolves had all their regular rotation players healthy and available for the first time against Portland since they played Miami on Nov. 24. ... The Wolves' starting lineup of Russell, Patrick Beverley, Karl-Anthony Towns, Jarred Vanderbilt and Anthony Edwards has the best net rating in the league of any five-man lineup that has played at least 100 minutes together.

Denver update: Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic is averaging 26.5 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists this season. Those would be career-high marks in points and rebounds for Jokic. … Michael Porter Jr. had back surgery and is out indefinitely. Jamal Murray is recovering from a torn ACL. … The Nuggets enter the game with the 16th-best offensive efficiency (109.1 points scored per 100 possessions) and the 18th-best defense (109.2). … The Nuggets allow the fewest opponent second-chance points in the league (10.3 per game).
