The Wolves lost to the Suns 99-96 in Minnesota on Nov. 15. ... They are 43-75 all-time against the Suns, including 19-42 in Phoenix. ... C Karl-Anthony Towns (24.3) is 14th in the league in scoring and 15th in rebounding (9.4).
Phoenix update: The Suns have the league's best record (38-9) and have won eight in a row. They dressed only nine players in Wednesday's victory over Utah because of injuries to leading rebounder Deandre Ayton (ankle), Jae Crowder (wrist), Frank Kaminsky (knee), JaVale McGee (knee), Abdel Nader (knee), Cam Payne (wrist) and Dario Saric (knee). ... G Devin Booker averages 25 points and G Chris Paul 10.1 assists.
Despite so-so record, Wolves have improved at crunch time.
