Wolves hire Noah Croom as assistant GM

Croom had previously worked for the NBA Vancouver and Memphis Grizzlies, and most recently as an attorney and agent for a sports management firm.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have hired Noah Croom as assistant general manager, according to cleveland.com.

Croom worked for the Vancouver and Memphis Grizzlies as assistant GM from 1995-2000. He has served as legal counsel and agent for Goodwin Sports Management (GSM) since 2002.

Croom reportedly interviewed for the Portland GM job in 2012. He graduated from Stanford in 1987 and received his law degree from Virginia in 1990.

Croom's expertise is the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement and salary cap.
