The Wolves on Saturday waived guard Toure' Murry and forward Rasual Butler to get to the league-mandated 15-player limit.

But that doesn't necessarily mean the roster won't change in the coming weeks or months.

The moves meant that, for now, the Wolves are carrying four point guards among the 14 players available to coach Tom Thibodeau; Center Nikola Pekovic, who is injuries and not playing this season, is still on the active roster.

The Wolves have starting point guard Ricky Rubio, rookie Kris Dunn, veteran John Lucas III – who played for Thibodeau in Chicago – and Tyus Jones on the roster. The roster also includes centers Karl-Anthony Towns and Cole Aldrich, power forwards Gorgui Dieng, Jordan Hill and Adreian Payne, stretch-four Nemanja Bjelica and wing players Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Shabazz Muhammad and Brandon Rush.

For Lucas, 33, it marks a return to the league. He last played in the NBA in 2015. He played in the Development League for the Ft. Wayne Mad Ants and for a team in Puerto Rico in 2016.

The Wolves open the regular Wednesday in Memphis.
