Woman crossing I-494 hit and killed in Bloomington

The Minnesota State Patrol identified the victim as Cynthia Finnell.

A 66-year-old woman died when she was struck by a vehicle while she crossed a Bloomington highway on foot.

On Saturday around 8:45 p.m., a pedestrian ran across the eastbound lanes of I-494 near Fort Snelling when she was hit by a SUV in the right lane west of 34th Avenue, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The woman was identified as Cynthia Finnell of Bloomington.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
