A broadside crash has claimed the life of a Clear Lake woman, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Rose Wipper, 84, was driving west on Sherburne County Road 65 at Hwy. 10 at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday when she was struck in the driver's side door by a Ford F-150 pick up heading northwest on Hwy. 10. Wipper's Chevrolet Impala was pushed through the median and came to rest in the eastbound Hwy. 10 ditch, the patrol said.

Wipper was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where she died, the patrol said.

The driver of the pickup, Joel Saldana, 53, of Rice, Minn., was not seriously hurt. He was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.

The crash happened near Cable, Minn., about 8 miles southeast of St. Cloud.
