Woman's body found along train tracks in Andover

Anoka County officials are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered Sunday morning after she was apparently struck by a train.

Sheriff's deputies were called at 9:30 a.m. to the intersection of Andover Boulevard and the Burlington Northern railroad tracks in Andover. The body was discovered about 150 feet south of the intersection and appeared to have been hit by a southbound train, authorities said. The time of death was unknown.

Officials have not released the woman's name pending notification of relatives. They will continue to look into the circumstances of the incident.
