Woodbury man crashes his SUV on northern Minnesota highway and dies

The wreck occurred just east of Upper Red Lake in Beltrami County, the patrol said.

A Twin Cities man crashed his SUV and died Monday on a northern Minnesota highway, authorities said.

The wreck occurred in Beltrami County about 10:50 a.m. Monday at a rural intersection just east of Upper Red Lake in Waskish Township, the State Patrol said.

Shaun A. O'malley, of Woodbury, was heading south on Hwy. 72, where his SUV rolled in the ditch, the patrol said.

The patrol has yet to say why the SUV left the highway.
