Celebrate World AIDS Day in style with this soirée to benefit the Minnesota AIDS Project and PrideAlive, which works to prevent HIV transmission. In a "Project Runway"-meets-"RuPaul's Drag Race" twist, the evening includes a fashion faceoff in which participants walk the runway in a look created from "prevention materials" -- think condoms, lube, dental dams and cervical blockers. Others will "Vogue" along the runway in dance-offs inspired by the Madonna video. There will also be battles for "Safe Sex Siren," "All American Runway Fashion" and "Realness" and free STD testing available all night. (9 p.m.-midnight Sat. $10. 18-plus. In the Heart of the Beast Theatre, 1500 E. Lake St., Mpls. 612-373-2437 or www.mnaidsproject.org.) JAHNA PELOQUIN
