Like millions of tech-adapted Americans, my two daughters are "digital natives," meaning they were born into a world of beeping and plinking gizmos that still mystify many adults. I learned about "digital natives" from wordspy, a website operated by Paul McFedries, author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Windows." Wordspy is a good place to catch up on neologisms, especially ones springing from the Web. For example, all those YouTubers and MySpacers are "lifestreaming," creating an online documentation of their lives. One of my favorites? "Upcycle"-- recycling materials to make "a new product with a higher quality or value than the original materials." It's something that artists have been doing for a very long time.
