Celebration: Prince's "Purple Rain" bandmates the Revolution perform twice Friday at Paisley Park, as do Morris Day and the Time on Saturday, and then members of NPG and 3rdEyeGirl play Sunday alongside panel discussions and more all weekend. Most of the $500-$1,000 tickets were bought up months ago, though. (11 a.m.-10 p.m. through Sun., Paisley Park, 7801 Audubon Rd., Chanhassen.)
Your guide to Prince parties this weekend
A guide to the finest Prince memorial events around the Twin Cities.

Jesse Johnson "and friends": The former guitarist for the Time, who recently toured in D'Angelo's band, continues his three-night jam. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat., Bunker's, 761 Washington Av. N., Mpls. $30-$125, ticketfly.com.)
Purple Love Experience: Funk-rock vets Jaybee and the Routine will pay their royal respects. (9 p.m. Fri., Minnesota Music Cafe, 499 Payne Av., St. Paul.)
Memorial Street Party: First Ave, 89.3 the Current and Minneapolis will block off 7th Street and 1st Avenue N. for a live set by NPG alum Michael Bland and members of Mint Condition with singers including Curtiss A, Dave Pirner, Dem Atlas and Maria Isa. (5-10 p.m. Sat., outside First Ave; no free tickets are left.)
Dance on 'Til Dawn: Prince's siblings are throwing a Celebration after-party with an array of guests including his earliest bandmates André Cymone and Dez Dickerson, his "Purple Rain" squeeze Apollonia and "1999"-era co-vocalist Jill Jones. I Would Dance 4 U kids' party: First Ave staffers had better be stocking up on purple juice boxes for what could be the wildest of the dance events. (10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sun., First Ave, $5, free for kids.)
Purple Party: One of the better Prince soundalikes in town, G-Sharp, performs a tribute with his band the Bizne$$ at Lee's Liquor Lounge. (9:30 p.m. Sun., Lee's Liquor Lounge, 101 Glenwood Av., Mpls. $10-$20, ticketfly.com.)
