One man was fatally shot and another was wounded early Tuesday morning in Burnsville. The shooting happened in the Andrew's Pointe Townhomes in the 2100 block of E. 117th Street, shortly after 2 a.m. Maria Marin, above, showed where her car was hit by gunfire. A bullet also went through a neighbor's home. A woman drove the victims to a SuperAmerica on Cliff Road and Slater Road in Eagan, said Burnsville Sgt. Rory Bochniak. The woman, although not injured, was not able to give police enough information for investigators to identify a suspect, Bochniak said. The injured man was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. His condition was not known Tuesday afternoon. Neither his name nor the name of the dead man has been released. Bochniak said there is no reason for residents to be fearful. "Whoever did this probably knew these people," he said. "We don't believe it's a random act."
