2012 State Fair attendance: 1,788,512

The State Fair always gets a good crowd, but exactly how many people go each day? Here are this year's attendance figures, with a few from previous years. The all-time busiest day was the second Saturday in 2010, when 234,384 people packed in.

Thursday, Aug. 23: 103,738, compared with 101,658 last year and 119,145 in 2010. The 2010 crowd set the record for first-day attendance.

Friday, Aug. 24: 117,040, compared with 123,735 last year and 132,738 in 2010. That 2010 number set the record for second-day attendance.

Saturday, Aug. 25: 152,646, compared with 177,166 last year and 175,621 in 2010. The record for third-day attendance was set in 1998, when 202,126 people came to the fair.

Sunday, Aug. 26: 185,485, compared with 171,689 last year and 165,784 in 2010. The record for fourth-day attendance was set in 1994, when 209,969 people came to the fair.

Monday, Aug. 27: 133,781, compared with 124,538 last year and 113,637 in 2010. The record for fifth-day attendance was set in 1994, when 143,998 people came to the fair.

Tuesday, Aug. 28: 121,097, compared with 99,747 last year and 105,848 in 2010. The record for sixth-day attendance, 129,423, was set in 2009.

Wednesday, Aug. 29: 118,193, compared with 111,891 last year and 126,823 in 2010. The record for seventh-day attendance was set in 2006, when 128,966 people came to the fair.

Thursday, Aug. 30: 101,379, compared with 104,131 last year and 116,250 in 2010. The record for eighth-day attendance was set in 1995, when 155,183 people came to the fair.

Friday, Aug. 31: 164,694, compared with 154,995 last year and 155,185 in 2010. The record for ninth-day attendance was set in 2003, when 179,052 people came to the fair.

Saturday, Sept. 1: 226,863, compared with 215,847 last year and 234,384 in 2010. That 2010 number set the record for 10th-day attendance at the fair, as well as the all-time single-day record.

Sunday, Sept. 2: 210,836, compared with 210,570 in 2010 and 229,943 last year, which set the record for 11th-day attendance at the fair.

Monday, Sept. 3: 152,760, compared with 154,532 last year and 120,226 in 2010. The record for 12th-day attendance was set in 2006 when 160,209 people came to the fair.

2012 total attendance: 1,788,512, compared with 1,769,872 last year and 1,776,211 in 2010. The all-time record was set in 2009, when 1,790,497 came to the fair.
