ANOTHER EARLY DUCK OPENER
Saturday's Minnesota waterfowl opener is the earliest since 1945.
State duck stamp sales totaled 46,001 last week, compared to 44,479 for the same period a year ago.
The DNR will post a waterfowl migration report weekly during the season. The first should be posted early Friday at dnr.state.mn.us/hunting/waterfowl.
Prediction: "I think the opener will be pretty good," said Steve Cordts, DNR waterfowl specialist.
