Proposed requirements

• Help emergency managers identify and assess hazards in densely populated areas.

• Share emergency response information along routes where hazardous materials are transported, including: data on equipment for fire suppression and emergency response; the number and areas of expertise of staff members responding from each location, and storage or locations of equipment, supplies and personnel.

• Maintain a single software application that provides real-time information on all hazardous rail tankers.
