Better Business Bureau names Adams Loyd as president and CEO
She will take over Jan. 30, replacing Dana Badgerow.
"It is an honor to join BBB of Minnesota and North Dakota," Adams Loyd said in a statement. "I am passionate about helping others, and look forward to cultivating trust and integrity between businesses and consumers."
Adams Loyd succeeds Dana Badgerow, who served as CEO of the Burnsville-based BBB from 2009 to the end of the year when she retired.
Adams Loyd most recently served as the president and general manager at Clear Channel Outdoor and has also worked as principal of Beaver's Pond Press and vice president and general manager at WCCO-TV.
The agency pointed to Adams Loyd's experience advocating for business issues as a board member of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Twin Cities Communications Council and the Minnesota Women's Economic Roundtable.
The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota was founded in 1912 by business owners in the Twin Cities and is considered the first Better Business Bureau. Today the Council of Better Business Bureaus, based in Arlington, Va., is the umbrella organization for more than 100 local, independent BBBs in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
