The Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame has announced eight new inductees, including the late Eleanor Mondale Poling, Mark Rosen and Dick Bremer.
The H all of Fame, part of the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting in St. Louis Park, said Monday that the eight will be inducted during ceremonies in downtown Minneapolis on Sept. 29.
The inductees are:
• Mick Anselmo, former executive for Clear Channel Radio and current senior vice president and general manager of CBS Radio in Minneapolis.
• Bremer, television announcer for the Minnesota Twins for the past 30 years.
• Kim Jeffries, best known for her stints on KS95 and WCCO Radio (830 AM) for much of her 30 years in broadcasting. In her post-broadcast years, she is now known as Kim Ketola. She now heads Cradle My Heart Radio ministry, writing and making speaking appearances.
• Bob Johnson, owner and operator of KRBI AM/FM in St. Peter, Minn., for 46 years.
• Poling, a national media personality who most recently had worked for WCCO-TV and its sister radio station. The daughter of former Vice President Walter Mondale, Poling died in September 2011 from brain cancer at age 51.
