Gov. Mark Dayton proclaimed Monday "Law Enforcement Appreciation Day," and the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis will be lit blue.

"Every day and night, law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect and serve communities across our state," Dayton said in a statement. "Today, we recognize the service and sacrifice of those brave men and women, and their families."
Dayton's proclamation means that the windows of the Governor's Residence will also be lit blue.
