Lenny Green, the Twins center fielder when the team began playing in Minnesota in 1961, died Sunday morning. It was his 86th birthday.

Green played 12 seasons in the big leagues, including 1961 through 1963 for the Twins after he relocated with the Washington Senators. He batted .285 in 1961 but fell off to .271 in '62 and .239 in '63.
