As a storm system threatens the West Coast this weekend, Portland, Ore., willgear up for freezing rain on Friday night and Saturday morning. TemperaturesFriday night through Saturday morning will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s,allowing a glaze of ice to form on surfaces.Driving could be difficult during this time. Untreated roadways will be proneto freezing and could become slick. Walkways will also be slippery.
Freezing rain will turn to all rain during the late morning.
