Gov. Dayton welcomes birth of second grandson

Dayton's daughter-in-law, Cory, and son, Eric, welcomed their second son.

Gov. Mark Dayton on early Tuesday became a grandfather a second time, according to a statement. Dayton welcomed his new grandson.

"I am thrilled to announce that my second grandson, George, was born at 2:29 this morning," Dayton said.

He reported that his daughter-in-law, Cory, and son, Eric, and Hugo, his first grandson, "are all doing very well."

Dayton first became a grandfather in 2013.
