Kendall Mark, who has been the sidekick on "The Jason Show" since 2019, announced Tuesday that she's leaving the syndicated series for a high-profile radio gig.

Mark, who also will be leaving her position as "The Fox 9 Morning News" traffic reporter at the end of the month, will be teaming up with Brittany Arneson to replace "Lori & Julia," the franchise program for MyTalk 107.1 FM. Hosts Lori Barghani and Julia Cobbs announced their retirement in March. Arneson has been a regular fill-in host on MyTalk for the past five years.

Mark kicked off Tuesday morning by revealing her departure on "The Jason Show" hosted by Jason Matheson, who also does does a radio show on MyTalk.

"It's not goodbye," she said during the 10 a.m. taping at Fox 9 Studios in Eden Prairie. "It's see you later."

She took over for original co-host Shayne Wells on the weekday pop-culture talk show, which airs in several markets, including Chicago and Seattle, and airs locally at 10 a.m. on KMSP.

Mark, who previously worked for the Minnesota Wild, Fox Sports North and the Big Ten Network, said it was a big and a hard decision to make but after five and a half years, it was time to move on. She was born in Red Wing and graduated from the University of Minnesota.

"When you replace somebody it's never fun," Matheson told Mark on the air Tuesday. "Especially in the age of the internet when everyone has an opinion about you, quickly and unfairly, and you managed to handle that and everything thrown at you with a lot of grace."

The name of the new co-host has not been announced.

Barghani and Cobbs welcomed their replacements on air Tuesday afternoon. Mark, who had a baby last September, said she wouldn't miss getting up at 3:40 a.m. to do traffic.

I'm going to hit that alarm button for the last time," she said. "You never catch up on sleep."

Arneson said she was nervous about following in the footsteps of the daytime divas.

"I can't stress enough the many things you guys got me through. Getting pregnant. COVID," she said. "A world without Lo-Jay is sad."

Barghani and Cobb's last show is June 27. The new program will debut July 8.
