Ford offers truck incentives Ford desperately wants your truck business.

To generate more sales, the automaker says it will offer "employee pricing" plus rebates on most 2008 F-Series models for the rest of June, primarily to help move the remaining '08 F-150 models before the redesigned 2009 model goes on sale in September.

The venerable F-Series was unseated in May for the first time since 1992 as the bestselling vehicle on the market. Rising gasoline prices have consumers looking for smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles.

Plug-in hybrids from Toyota Toyota Motor Corp. is introducing a plug-in hybrid with next-generation lithium-ion batteries in Japan, the United States and Europe by 2010, under a wide-ranging "green" strategy outlined Wednesday.

The ecological gasoline-electric vehicles, which can be recharged from a standard electrical outlet, will target leasing customers, Toyota said. Such plug-in hybrids can run longer as an electric vehicle than regular hybrids, and are environmentally cleaner.
