Piper signs deal with Canadian Imperial Bank

Piper Jaffray Companies, Minneapolis, has signed an exclusive research distribution deal with the capital markets arm of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC).

The Piper Jaffray equity research group consists of 40 analysts covering 750 companies. The deal was effective as of Monday.

Toronto-based CIBC has three major business units: retail and business banking; wealth management; and capital markets. CIBC will become exclusive distributor of Piper research in the Canadian market.
