Buffalo community book program The city of Buffalo is gearing up for a community reading program, with a twist: It's getting students to lead the way.
The community will read "Population 485," a book about life in a small Wisconsin town from the vantage point of a volunteer firefighter.
Then Buffalo High School students will lead the community in a discussion on March 31. The author, Wisconsin native Michael Perry, will be on hand for the event, including a reception from 5 to 6 p.m. followed by student-led discussions from 6 to 7. Perry will speak at 7.
The event will be held at Buffalo High School, 877 Bison Blvd., Buffalo.
The book is available at Buffalo Books and the Book Break, both in Buffalo, as well as the local public library.
For more information, contact Bob Driver, Buffalo High School administrative assistant, at 763-682-8105.
