Travel club offers eye-opening journey

On Sunday, I wrote about Robert Boyd, a man who was promised a camera and a laptop or touchpad tablet for attending a sales seminar, but instead was handed a sheet of paper at the end of the seminar that contained a list of 13 steps he needed to complete before being sent the gifts.

Both the feds and the state have laws in place governing the manner in which gifts are offered as an incentive to attend a seminar. Read about Boyd's experience here.
