Today's trophy tale

Owen Hiltner, 8, Waconia • 26-inch walleye • Lake Latimer

(As told by dad, Mike Hiltner) My son, Owen (above), caught this 26-inch walleye with a bobber and leech while fishing with me on Lake Latimer near Long Prairie. Owen had a good weekend of fishing, catching three more walleyes 17 to 18 inches, a 4-pound largemouth bass and two northerns. He outfished me and his grandpas. He said his secret was "orange and pink colored hooks!"
