Today's trophy tales

Daniel Killeen, Eden Prairie • 57-inch muskie • Lake Mille Lacs

After several hours of trolling a medium-sized crankbait, Killeen's catch took the bait in about 9 feet of water. After a 10-minute fight and a net fail, Killeen managed to get the fish into the boat by hand. After a measurement and pictures, the muskie was released.

Fishing on Lake Michigan out of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., Ed Grayden of Minnetonka caught this 23½-pound king salmon while trolling with a spoon. On the same trip, Grayden pulled in a 14-pound king salmon.
