TV picks for July 20-21: Kumail Nanjiani, "City Girl Diaries," "Brother Vs. Brother"
Albert Brooks may have had trouble finding comedy in the Muslim world in his 2005 movie, but that's only because he didn't hit the road with one of Pakistan's finest comics. "Kumail Nanjiani: Beta Male" (11 p.m. Saturday, Comedy) marks the performer's first one-hour special for the cable network.
Brothers in arms
Talk about sibling rivalry. In "Brother vs. Brother" (9 p.m. Sunday, HGTV), Jonathan and Drew Scott each lead a team of home renovators and compete to see who has the best fix-'em-up skills. Can't wait for that very special episode in which they discuss which one of them Mom likes best.
Dear diary
Five New York City friends who probably believe "Sex and the City" was a documentary series share their high-scale, fast-paced lives on "City Girl Diaries" (8 p.m. Sunday, Style). Let's just hope they don't run into the cast of "Girls." That could get ugly.
