Two teen pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk early Monday near Maple Grove High School, according to authorities.

Police said a 15-year-old male was treated at the scene and released, while a 16-year-old male was transported to North Memorial hospital with "serious non-life threatening injuries."

The incident occurred around 7:15 a.m near the 9400 block of Fernbrook Lane, about a mile south of Maple Grove Senior High School. Authorities said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor. He or she did not sustain any injuries. It has not yet been confirmed if the two teens are students at the high school. Police said this is an active and ongoing investigation.
