Birch's on the Lake

A heaping helping of a Wisconsin-style fish fry is always on the menu ($17) at this brewery/supper club, and it includes beer-battered Lake Superior whitefish, hand-cut fries and housemade coleslaw.

Blue Door Pub

Two of the restaurant's four locations take a deep dive into Friday fish fry (through April 19), doing the all-you-can-eat thing ($13.95) with beer-battered cod, housemade slaw and a choice of fries or Tater Tots.

The Little Oven

The daily Lent special at this friendly Eastsider (where the motto is "home of the biggest portions at the smallest prices") includes soup or salad, choice of potato (fries, mashed, baked, au gratins), a vegetable and a popover. Three pieces of beer-battered cod is $12.99, four is $14.99 and all-you-can-eat is $16.99.

Tillie's Farmhouse

On Friday after 5 p.m., the kitchen at this charming storefront setup turns out a traditional fish fry ($14), featuring 6 to 7 ounces of beer-battered cod, plus French fries and coleslaw.
