NightWollemann was born in Milwaukee, have lived all over the country and even in Bulgaria for four years while teaching journalism at the American University in Bulgaria. After a short stay in Chicago (and a cross-country bike ride), Wollemann and his wife returned to Minnesota in 2017 and he returned to the Star Tribune to work as a news copy editor and "slot" (final read) editor.
