WINE

"Yum" goes my palate with every sip I take of the Dusted Valley Boomtown Pinot Gris ($15). The 2012 is another winner from two Wisconsin lads now based in Walla Walla, Wash., Corey Braunal and Chad Johnson. Gorgeous citrus and pear flavors and just-right acidity make for a smooth glide, and there's a swell balance of sharpness and ripeness on the finish. Try it with not-too-spicy Asian dishes or at a Friday fish fry.

Available at Cellars (Roseville), France 44, Lake Elmo Wine Company, Lincoln Square, Wine Thief, Top Ten (Woodbury) and Andy's Crossroad (Rochester).
